Acceptance of Terms

By using ShopChopCook ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Description of Service

ShopChopCook is a meal planning tool that parses recipe URLs you provide and uses AI to generate combined shopping lists, mise en place checklists, and cook schedules. The Service is provided free of charge and on an "as is" basis. We use Plausible Analytics, a cookieless and privacy-friendly analytics tool, to measure aggregate usage of the Service.

Your Use of the Service

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You agree not to:

• Submit URLs or content that violates any law or third-party rights
• Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or abuse the Service
• Use the Service to generate spam or malicious content
• Circumvent any rate limits or access controls

Recipe Content and Third-Party Sites

When you submit a recipe URL, you represent that you have the right to use that URL and that accessing the content at that URL is permitted. ShopChopCook is not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or content of third-party recipe websites. Some websites may block automated access; in those cases the Service will not be able to retrieve the recipe.

Recipe content retrieved from third-party URLs is used solely to generate your meal plan and is not stored by ShopChopCook after generation is complete. We do not reproduce, redistribute, or index third-party recipe content. All intellectual property rights in the original recipe text remain with its respective authors and publishers.

AI-generated meal plans are provided for informational and planning purposes only. Always verify cooking times, temperatures, and food safety guidelines from authoritative sources.

Intellectual Property

The ShopChopCook application, logo, and original content are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Recipe content belongs to its original authors and publishers. AI-generated outputs (shopping lists, schedules) are produced on your behalf for your personal use.

Accounts

You may use ShopChopCook without an account; however, saved plans will not persist across devices without signing in. You can sign in with Google or verify your identity using your phone number via SMS. By providing your phone number, you consent to receiving a one-time verification SMS from ShopChopCook via Twilio. Plans created before signing in are automatically linked to your account upon sign-in. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or complete. Use of AI-generated recipes and meal plans is at your own risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ShopChopCook and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to reliance on AI-generated content.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be noted by updating the date at the top of this page.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction.
